The Industrial Solutions Lab is supported by many industry partners, in particular, Lilly.  A significant gift from Lilly in 2024 created an endowment that provides scholarships for students and funding that helps ensure the Lab’s future success.

The contribution from Lilly benefits Niner Engineers by expanding opportunities for experiential learning and demonstrates their commitment to developing new engineering talent and hands-on learning.

In 2023, the Industrial Solutions Lab moved from its long-time home in the Cafeteria and Activities Building to its current home in Cameron Building. In September 2024, the Lab held its Grand Opening and was announced as the “Industrial Solutions Lab, powered by Lilly.”

“The students are professional… you can see them grow from when they give presentations at the beginning of the projects when they are in the design phase… (to) a day like today (Expo) when they are on the floor getting to talk to hundreds of people about what they’ve done. It’s really exciting to see the enthusiasm.”
